هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن تحديات تعليم المكتبات والمعلومات في الجامعة المصرية. وتناول البحث سبع محاور. جاء في المحور الأول عدم ملائمة مهارات الخريجين لمتطلبات سوق العمل. والمحور الثاني ناقش قلة فرص العمل باستمرار. وذكر في المحور الثالث التحول الذي أحدثته شبكة الانترنت في نمط المستفيدين للمعلومات. وفى المحور الرابع تحدث عن تدني المهارات الشخصية والمهنية والبحثية للخريجين. كما تناول في المحور الخامس عدم انطباق معايير ضمان الجودة والاعتماد على منظومة الأقسام. وأيضاً في المحور السادس عدم وجود أي تمييز بين برامج ومقررات الأقسام وتكرارها. واخيراً في المحور السابع ناقش قلة عدد أعضاء هيئة التدريس. واختتم البحث بأن استمرار الأوضاع السابق ذكرها يهدد مصير أقسام المكتبات والمعلومات المصرية. ويجعل استمرارها محفوفاً بالمخاطر الشديدة مع الاتجاه الواضح إلى تقليل النفقات. وأوصى البحث بضرورة الدعوة إلى وقفة سريعة ومراجعة متأنية لعناصر الضعف والتحديات. والعمل على إعداد دراسة مسحية وميدانية لمعرفة الاتجاهات الجارية والمتوقعة لمتطلبات سوق العمل عدديا ونوعيا. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018



The objective of the research was to uncover the challenges of teaching libraries and information at the Egyptian University. The research dealt with seven axes. The first axis dealt with the graduates' skills are not suited to the requirements of the labor market. The second axis discussed the limited number of job opportunities. The third axis tackled the transformation which is occurred because of the Internet towards the pattern of information beneficiaries. The fourth axis talked about the low personal, professional and research skills for graduates. In addition, the fifth axis tackled the non-applicability of quality assurance and accreditation standards on the system of departments. Moreover, the sixth axis pointed out that there is no difference between the programs and curriculums of the sections and that they were repeated. Finally, the seventh axis discussed the small number of faculty members. The research concluded that the continuation of the previously cited situations threaten the fate of the Egyptian libraries and information departments in addition to making their continuation surrounded by serious risks with a clear tendency to reduce expenditures. The research recommended the need to call for a quick pause and a careful review of the elements of weakness and challenges. It also suggested working on the preparation of a survey and field study to be aware of the expected and current trends of requirements of the labor market numerically and qualitatively..This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
