Abstract: تعد الدراسة الصوتية التوطئة للدراسة الصرفية والنحوية والدلالية والمعجمية، بل إن علوم اللغة كلها تعتمد على الدراسة الصوتية، وكان العرب سباقين في دراسة صوتيات لغتهم، باعتبارها مقدمة لدراسة لغتهم من شتى الجوانب الأخرى، وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على جهود العرب في الدراسات الصوتية قديماً وحديثاً وكيف أبدعوا في ترتيب أصوات لغتهم، من الترتيب الأبجدي والترتيب الألفبائي والترتيب الصوتي، ومن ثم التعمق في دراسة الترتيب الصوتي من أجل التعرف على ما يمكن أن يقدمه هذا الترتيب من وصف لبعض الأصوات. وقد تميز العرب بذائقة عالية المستوى استطاعوا من خلالها أن يبدعوا في عملهم الصوتي وترتيبهم للأصوات.

This phonemic study is an introduction to phonology, syntax, symantics and and lexicology. Rather, linguistics draw heavily upon phonetics. Arabs were the first to study phonetics, being an approach to the study of Arabic languages from various perspectives. This study aims to highlight the efforts exerted by Arabs, both in the past and at the present, and how they were creative in organizing the phonetics of Arabic language from the alphabetical as well as the phonemic order. Hence, they went further to explore the phonemic order so that they could identify the importance of this order in terms of specific phonemes. As is known, Arabs were known for their classy taste through which they managed to excel in their study of phonetics and their order.
