المستخلص: ساق البامبو رواية من تأليف الروائي الكويتي سعود السنوسي والذي فاز عنها بالجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية لعام 2013 وهى رواية تدور أحداثها بين الكويت والفلبين حيث تستعرض بعض الأحداث والقضايا التي تخص البلدين. يستعرض البحث موضوع الإقصاء الاجتماعي أو "فقدان الهوية" عند الكاتب، وذلك من خلال بطل الرواية عيسى أو خوسيه وتبدو ازدواجية الاسم من البداية حيث إنه ابن لأب كويتي وأم فلسطينية وتدور أحداثها بين البلدين وكون البطل ابن لوالدين من جنسيات مختلفة شعر أنه لا ينتمي إلى أي من الثقافتين وبالتالي شعر بفقدان الهوية. تدور الأحداث لتوضيح الفارق الشديد بين البيئتين والثقافتين مما يسبب ويفاقم الشعور بالقهر الإنساني لدى عيسى أو خوسيه. تستخدم نظرية "التقاطعية" أو "تقاطع أشكال التميز" لتظهر وتؤكد كيفية تأثيرها على البطل الذى عانى من التهميش وكونه أحد الأفراد المهمشين في المجتمع وطبيعة ما عانى منه البطل طيلة أحداث الرواية حيث أن البطل عيسى أو خوسيه سيتم تناول مراحل حياته من الطفولة إلى مرحلة البلوغ حتى نستوعب جيداً مراحل نضجه النفسي وتشكيل هويته ومدى تأثيرها بكونه ينتمي دون محض إرادته إلى ثقافتين مختلفتين تماماً ومدى تأثير ذلك وعلى هويته الشخصية وحجم المعاناة وإحساس القهر المتكرر الذى عايشه البطل. حيث تنقسم الرواية إلى ستة فصول تتتبع عيسى كجنين حتى يبلغ من العمر 26 عاماً. يعاني العديد من المشاكل والتي تظهرها نظرية "التقاطعية" التي تؤكد على تشابك التمييز في جميع أشكال الهويات السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والدينية الذى يظهر جلياً خلال أحداث الرواية.

This paper explores the theme of social exclusion in Saoud Al- Sanousi's The Bamboo Stalk. The Bamboo Stalk Comes from a tree that grows in any land and it can be cut down and planted in a distant land and then it can re-grow there easily, the author chose the name The Bamboo stalk to indicate the resilience of the personality of Isa who has multiple roots, nationalities, names, religions, and even multiple mothers. This novel was written by Saud Al -Sanousi, a Kuwaiti journalist who was born in 1981-It can be said that Saud Al- Sanousi is one of the most prominent Arab novelists in the current time, asked about his responsibility as a writer, he answered that he believed that "his role goes beyond writing for pleasure... but aspires to leave the effect influencing the reader's mentality at first and then his behavior. AL Sanousi's The Bamboo Stalk is classified as a Bildungsroman novel. This means that it traces the phases of the protagonist from childhood to adulthood. The novel is divided into five main parts. Each one of them narrates a phase of the protagonist Jose's life, the novel revolves around Isa, or Jose, who is a son of a Filipino housemaid and a wealthy Kuwaiti father. It traces Isa from birth until he becomes 23 years in age. Isa is torn between the two cultures. He feels that he has no identity; he is neither a Fillipino nor a Kuwaiti, having parents of two religions, this son two names; one is Muslim while the other is Christian. Raised in the Philippines, he moves to Kuwait when he turns 18 years old. Isa's Filipino Countenances are different to those of the Kuwaiti people. Such a matter makes him feel marginalized and excluded, in fact, there are many factors that make him feel so. The present paper employs the intersectional theory so as to show the multiple aspects of the discrimination and oppression which the protagonist experiences. It can be said that intersectionality is a set of various theories because it examines the discriminatory system in different perspectives, It can be concluded that Saoud Al-Sanousi's Bamboo stalk sheds much light on many forms of discrimination; whether in Kuwait or the Philippines.
