المستخلص: This article addresses the issue of political, diplomatic, and economic relations of the Ottoman Empire and its Maghreb provinces with European countries during the 16th century AD/. This period the Ottoman influence reach the Maghreb region, establishing external relations, with a particular focus on its relations with France. France adopted a peaceful approach to expand its influence in the region, making these relations of great importance to researchers, as they cast a significant shadow on the modern and contemporary history of the Maghreb region, still echoing in the present time. This research paper aims to explore and analyze some important documents in order to highlight the nature and aspects of these relations and the controlling factors. The study concluded that the Franco-Ottoman rapprochement was primarily driven by French interests, as France sought to exploit the privileges of the Sublime Porte to establish its foothold in the Maghreb region.
