المستخلص: هذا بحث بينت فيه حال حديث من أحاديث النبي صَلَّي اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أسميته: حديث من حفظ على أمتي أربعين حديثا ..." دراية ورواية، وقد اشتمل البحث على مقدمة، وتمهيد، تكلمت فيه عن: نشأة التأليف في الأربعين، وأهمية كتب الأربعين، والتصنيف في الأربعين، ثم عقدت فصلين، اشتمل كل منهما على عدد من المباحث. أما الفصل الأول: وعنوانه: حديث "من حفظ على أمتي أربعين حديثا..." دراية، وفيه أربعة مباحث: حكم العمل بالحديث الضعيف، وتخريج الحديث، ودراسة إسناده، وبيان علته. ثم الفصل الثاني وعنوانه: حديث "من حفظ على أمتي..." رواية، وفيه أربعة مباحث: العدد الأربعين في السنة، الحكمة في تخصيص رسول الله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عدد الأربعين حديثا بالحفظ، الحفظ المقصود في الحديث، ما ذكر في رواياته من ثواب هذا العمل. وأهم النتائج التي توصل إليها البحث: حديث من حفظ على أمتي أربعين حديثا ..." حديث ضعيف وليس بموضوع جواز العمل بالحديث الضعيف في الفضائل وأبواب الترغيب والترهيب، كثرة الطرق للحديث ترفعه إلى كونه له أصل، أهمية كتب الأربعين ودورها في التصنيف، اشتملت الكتب الأربعين على فوائد في التخريج والحكم على الإسناد، ومعرفة المبهم، والمشكل، والمختلف، جهود المحدثين ودورهم في جمع السنة وحفظها، وتصنيفها.

This is a research in which I have explained the status of one of hadiths of Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him). I called it “The one who memorizes forty hadith for my Ummah… cognition and narration”, the research included: an introduction and a preface, in which I talked about: the origins of the composition in the forty hadiths, the importance of Forty-Hadith books and its classifications. Then, I held two chapters each of which included a numder of topics. The first chapter is titled, “This who memorizes forty hadith for my Ummah… cognition” and it contains four topics: the validity of acting upon weak hadith, hadith narration documntation, the study of its Isnad (narrators) and explaining the reason of the weaknes. The second chapter is titled, “The hadith of this who memorizes forty hadith for my Ummah… narration”. , and it contains four topics: the number forty in the Sunnah, the wisdom of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace in specifying the number forty of hadiths for memorization, the intended memorization of the hadith , rewards of this deed mentioned in the narrations. One of the main findings concluded by the research is that the hadith “This who memorizes forty hadith for my Ummah…” is a weak hadith not a fabricated one, the validity of following a weak hadith in the category of merits and aspects encouragment and intimidation, the existence of many narration routes for a hadith raises it to be a hadith of a solid origin, the importance of books of forties and their role in classification, , books of fortyhadith included benefits in narration documentation knowing the ambiguous, the problematic, and the different, the efforts of the hadith scholars and their role in collecting the Sunnah, preserving it, and classifying it.
