The study used annual data for a time series during the period (1980-2021) for each of the indicators of the knowledge economy and the indicators of sustainable development as follows: primary school enrollment, fixed telephone subscriptions (per 100 persons), mobile phone subscriptions (per 100 persons), foreign direct investment, net inflows as indicators of the knowledge economy, and gross product growth and arable land as indicators of sustainable development (the economic and environmental dimension), and the Eviews 10 economic measurement program was used to estimate the model and use unit root tests to study stability and test co-integration according to the autoregressive distributed deceleration (ARDL) approach to test the existence of a relationship in the long and short term among the variables under study.
