المستخلص: تناولت الدراسة السلسلة الفرعية لوثائق الجمعية الجغرافية الخديوية في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر، والنصف الأول من القرن العشرين والمحفوظة بوحدتي عابدين ومجلس النظار بدار الوثائق القومية وهي عبارة عن مجموعة من الوثائق المفردة المحفوظة داخل ملفات السلسلة والتي يبلغ عددها ستة وسبعين ملفا، وهي دراسة أرشيفية للوثائق المفردة بملفات الجمعية الجغرافية الخديوية؛ التي تمثل منتجا وثائقيا يعكس عمل الجمعية الجغرافية الخديوية وأنشطتها المتنوعة في مصر وخارجها للخروج بالسمات والخصائص الموضوعية التي شكلت هذا المنتج الوثائقي، وذلك من دراسة الوثائق من الناحية الأرشيفية بوصفها، وتحديد هوية المادة الأرشيفية، وتقديم المعلومات المتعلقة بالحالة المادية والمحتوى الموضوعي فضلاً عن التاريخ الإداري والسلطة الإدارية واختصاصاتها وتواريخ وجهات حيازة تلك الوثائق، وترتيب الوثائق المفردة بملفات السلسلة الأرشيفية ترتيبا زمنيا حسب تاريخ النشأة وعمل جداول حسب الترتيب التاريخي الموضوعي وأخرى حسب ترتيبها بدار الوثائق القومية بالأكواد الأرشيفية لتكون وسيلة إيجاد الخدمة الباحثين، والتعريف بأماكن حفظ الوثائق المتعلقة بالجمعية الجغرافية الخديوية بوحدتي عابدين ومجلس النظار والمحفوظة بدار الوثائق القومية بالقاهرة وحصر تلك الوثائق. وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوثائقي تحليلاً وتركيبا من خلال دراسة مضمون الوثائق بالملفات وتحليل محتواها، واستخلاص النتائج والحقائق من الوثائق وربطها بغيرها من النتائج المستخلصة من المصادر التاريخية المعاصرة لتلك الفترة، ومنهج دراسة الحالة حيث تم حصر ودراسة جميع الملفات الخاصة بالجمعية الجغرافية الخديوية، والتعريف بها من حيث أعدادها، وموضوعات الوثائق المفردة بها، وفتراتها التاريخية، وإعداد وسيلة إيجاد مناسبة تيسر سهولة استرجاعها والوصول إليها. وقد توصلت الدراسة لعدد من النتائج والتوصيات أهمها: عكست وثائق الدراسة نشاط الجمعية العلمي في المجال الجغرافي والاستكشافات الجغرافية في أفريقيا ودورها البارز في الفتوحات المصرية للدول الأفريقية؛ حيث تمكنت خلال السنوات الأولى من أن تساهم في حركة الاستكشافات المصرية للمناطق الإفريقية. كما تأثرت الجمعية الجغرافية بالأحداث السياسية والأزمات المالية التي مرت بها مصر، ووجود العديد من الفجوات التي تتخلل ملفات وثائق الجمعية الجغرافية الخديوية سواء في أرقام الأكواد الأرشيفية أو فجوات تاريخية، ويوصى الباحث باستخدام ما أعده من وسائل إيجاد للسلسلة الأرشيفية موضوع الدراسة- بدار الوثائق القومية، تيسيرا للباحثين بدار الوثائق القومية لإعادة ترتيب السلسلة الأرشيفية تاريخيا حسب أقدم ملف حتى أحدث ملف.

The research dealt with the study of the sub-series of documents of the Khedive Geographical Society in the late nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, which are preserved in the units of (Abdeen and the Magles Elnozzar) at The National Archives. It is a collection of individual documents preserved within files numbering seventy-six files. It is an archival study of the individual documents in the files of the Khedival Geographical Society, which represents a documentary product that reflects the work of the Khedival Geographical Society and its various activities in Egypt and abroad to come up with the objective features and characteristics that shaped this documentary product, through studying the documents from the point of view Archives as a description, identifying the archival material and providing information related to the physical condition and objective content, as well as the administrative history, the administrative authority and its powers, the dates and destinations of possession of those documents, and arranging the individual documents in the archive series files in chronological order according to the date of creation, and creating tables according to the objective historical order and others according to their arrangement in The National Archives with archival codes to be a means of finding to serve researchers, and identifying the places where documents related to the Khedive Geographical Society in the units of (Abdeen and the Magles Elnozzar) are stored, which are preserved in The National Archives in Cairo, and listing those documents. The study followed the documentary method of analysis and synthesis by studying the content of the documents in the files and analyzing their content, extracting results and facts from the documents and linking them to other results drawn from contemporary historical sources for that period, and the case study method, where all the files of the Khedival Geographical Society were identified and studied, and introduced to them through In terms of their numbers, the topics of the individual documents, their historical periods, and preparing a suitable method that facilitates easy retrieval and access to them. The study reached a number of results and recommendations, the most important of which are: The study documents reflected the association’s scientific activity in the geographical field and geographical explorations in Africa and its prominent role in the Egyptian conquests of African countries. During the first years, it was able to contribute to the Egyptian exploration movement in African regions. The Geographical Society was also affected by the political events and financial crises that Egypt went through, and the presence of many gaps that permeate the documents of the Khedival Geographical Society, whether in archival code numbers or historical gaps. The researcher recommends using the means he prepared for finding the archival series -the subject of the study- in The National Archives, to facilitate researchers at The National Archives to rearrange the archive series historically, according to the oldest file until the most recent file.
