Websites and applications that match and connect individuals for marriage purposes are commonly used in the Western world; the use of internet-mediated services itself becomes a verified means undertaking the mainstream one. However, there have not been many previous investigations focusing on Egyptians and their usage of these apps. This paper aimed to report the methods and findings of interviews with 15 Egyptian females with same demographics and backgrounds, the results indicated that females in Egypt are not supporting the idea of cyber matchmaking. Despite the advantages associated with cyber matchmaking, they expressed high risks of online matchmaking that would definitely prevent the idea.
