المستخلص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى بيان جهود الشيخ عبد الحليم محمود- رحمه الله- في التصوف من خلال إلقاء الضوء على الإنتاج العلمي للشيخ في هذا الجانب، وتناول البحث ابرز القضايا التي تعرض لها الشيخ خلال هذا الإنتاج العلمي، ومن أبرزها اتخاذه الكتابة عن التصوف وأعلامه مشروعا فكريا في مواجهة الفكر المادي، وموقفه من قضية المؤثرات الأجنبية في التصوف الإسلامي، والنقد الذاتي للتصوف، وموقفه من ظاهره الشطح عند الصوفية، والعلاقة بين الصوفية السلفية، وقد تطلبت طبيعة هذه الدراسة استخدام المنهج الوصفي والمنهج التحليلي، وقد خلص البحث إلى جملة من النتائج أبرزها القيمة العلمية الكبيرة للتراث الذي خلفه لنا الشيخ عبد الحليم محمود- رحمه الله- في ميدان التصوف اتسام مواقف الشيخ للقضايا التي عرض لها بالوسطية والاعتدال.

This research paper demonstrates the efforts of Sheikh Abdelhalim Mahmoud (May Allah have mercy on him) in mysticism. It sheds light on the Sheikh's academic output in this respect. The research addresses the most prominent issues that Sheikh Abdelhalim Mahmoud has handled through his academic career. The most notable issue is that of adopting writing about mysticism and its pioneering scholars as an intellectual project in the confrontation with the materialist thinking. The second issue in this respect is the attitude of Sheikh Abdelhalim Mahmoud towards foreign influences on Islamic mysticism and self-criticism of mysticism. The third issue discusses the attitude of the Grand Imam Abdelhalim Mahmoud towards the phenomenon of extravagance among the Sufis, and the relationship between Sufism and Salafism. According to the nature of this topic, the research has applied the descriptive and analytical approaches. Finally, this research paper has concluded with a group of findings. The most notable finding is the great academic value of the output inherited after Sheikh Abdelhalim Mahmoud (May Allah have mercy on him) in the field of mysticism. Moreover, the attitudes of Sheikh Abdelhalim Mahmoud towards the issues he addressed were characterized by moderation and balance.
