المستخلص: هدف هذا البحث إلى فاعلية دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي كممارس عام في استثمار قدرات المسنين في المجالات الاجتماعية في المجتمع بمؤسسات رعاية المسنين. حيث سعي الأخصائي الاجتماعي كممارس عام إلى مساعدة المسن على فهم قدراته وتوظيفها وكيفية استثمارها في حل مشكلاته وأيضا الاهتمام ببيئة المسن وأماكن العمل والاستفادة من قدرات المسنين في القيام بمهام جديدة تتفق مع ظروفهم وإمكانياتهم وتنمية قدراتهم العقلية ليستعيد ثقته بنفسه وتنمية دافع التعلم والنجاح. مساعدة المسن على الحصول على العمل المناسب لظروفه ومتابعته لضمان نجاحه واستقراره واستثمار أوقات الفراغ بما يعود عليهم وعلى مجتمعهم بالفائدة والعمل على رفع مستوى أداء المسنين بتنمية قدراتهم المتبقية وتزويدهم بالمهارات اللازمة وتنمية الوعي والقدرة على المشاركة الفعلية وإتاحة الفرصة للمسنين بالمساهمة في حماية البيئة في مؤسساتهم ومجتمعهم المحلي بما ينمي من قدراتهم على مواجهة مشكلات البيئة ومواجهة مشكلات المجتمع ويزيد من انتمائهم له من خلال جماعات العمل الجماعي. ويجب إعادة النظر فيما تملكه هذه الفئة من مهارات يمكن استغلالها والعمل على تطويرها وإتاحة الفرص لهم ليكونوا جزءا فعالا من المجتمع وتحسين الحياة الاجتماعية يمكن لتأهيل المسنين ودمجهم في المجتمع أن يحسن من جودة حياتهم الاجتماعية والنفسية والمادية، ويساعدهم على الشعور بالانتماء والتقبل والتكامل الاجتماعي. وتحسين الإنتاجية يعد تأهيل المسنين ودمجهم في المجتمع مصدرا للإنتاجية والإبداع، فهم يمتلكون مهارات وقدرات خاصة يمكن أن تساعد في تحسين الإنتاجية والابتكار في مجالات مختلفة وبناء على ذلك تم تطبيق مقياس للمسنين "فاعلية دور الأخصائي الاجتماعي كممارس عام في استثمار قدرات المسنين بمؤسسات رعاية المسنين" تكون من ستة أهداف فرعية ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدمت الباحثة منهج المسح الاجتماعي بنوعيه الشامل وبالعينة.

This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the role of the social worker as a general practitioner in investing in the capabilities of the elderly in the social fields of society in elderly care institutions. As a general practitioner, the social worker seeks to help the elderly person understand his abilities, employ them, and how to invest them in solving his problems, and also pay attention to the elderly person’s environment and workplaces, benefit from the elderly’s abilities in carrying out new tasks that are compatible with their circumstances and capabilities, and develop their mental abilities to regain his self-confidence and develop the motivation for learning and success. Helping the elderly to obtain work appropriate to their circumstances, following up on it to ensure their success and stability, investing in leisure time in a way that benefits them and their community, and working to raise the level of performance of the elderly by developing their remaining abilities, providing them with the necessary skills, developing awareness and the ability to actually participate, and providing the opportunity for the elderly to contribute to protecting the environment in their institutions and their local community. This develops their abilities to confront environmental problems and society’s problems and increases their affiliation to it through collective work groups. It is necessary to reconsider the skills that this group possesses that can be exploited and worked on developing them and providing them with opportunities to be an effective part of society and improve social life. Rehabilitating the elderly and integrating them into society can improve the quality of their social, psychological and material lives, and help them feel a sense of belonging, acceptance and social integration. Improving productivity: Rehabilitating the elderly and integrating them into society is a source of productivity and creativity. They possess special skills and abilities that can help improve productivity and innovation in various fields. Accordingly, a measure was applied for the elderly: "The effectiveness of the role of the social worker as a general practitioner in investing in the capabilities of the elderly in elderly care institutions." Of the six sub-objectives, to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the social survey method, both comprehensive and sample.
