The challenge of using new technologies and use of new competencies in the developing countries is of great importance. Thus, the Problem statement can be stated as follow: in this changing environment of digitization, does the libraries need acquiring the new competencies of the technological tools? For this purpose, we ask the following sub-questions: -in what extent does the librarians in Algeria perform new digital jobs? -do they possess the skills needed? -what are the gaps in order to be in tune to the new environment of digitization? The practical part indicate that the libraries perform digital tasks partially. the libraries have potentialities in the disciplinary tasks such as cataloguing that appear through the efforts to make visible their catalogs. However, the digital competencies still lack in some libraries and performed in other libraries such as the libraries of the universities of Algiers 1 and 2. L’utilisation des nouvelles technologies d’information dans les pays en développement fait appel à de nouvelles compétences, ce qui constitue un défi. Ainsi, la problématique qui se pose peut se décliner comme suit: dans cet environnement de numérisation, est-ce que les bibliothèques ont besoin d’acquérir des compétences nouvelles notamment les outils technologiques? Dans ce but, nous formulons les questionnements suivants: - à quel point les bibliothécaires en Algérie maitrisent-ils les nouveaux métiers de la numérisation? -possèdent-ils les compétences voulues et requises? -quelles sont les lacunes numériques qu’il faut pallier pour se mettre au diapason du nouvel environnement numérique? La partie pratique indique que les bibliothèques maitrisent les compétences technologiques et numériques partiellement. Les bibliothèques possèdent des compétences dans le catalogage. Cependant, les compétences de la numérisation demeurent manquantes dans certaines bibliothèques et sont maitrisées dans les bibliothèques des universités d’Alger 1 et Alger 2. |
