المستخلص: يشغل السكن مكانة هامة في حياة الفرد. إذ يشكل بالنسبة له طريقة حياة من منطلق وجوده الاجتماعي، فأن يسكن يعنى أن يجد مكانا يوفر له الحماية من كل المخاطر الخارجية، ويحمي خصوصيته حيث تتحرر فيه الذات من كل القيود، ويشكل مجالا أمنا للتنشئة، وتعزيز العلاقات الاجتماعية وكذا الربط بينه ومحيطه الاجتماعي. وبالتالي تنسج علاقة تفاعل بين الفرد ومسكنه، حيث أن كل منهما يؤثر في الآخر. فهذه الورقة البحثية تعد محاولة لتأكيد الدور الهام الذي يحظى به السكن من الزاوية السوسيولوجية؛ بدءً بالتأصيل المفاهيمي للسكن كما تناوله ثلة من علماء الاجتماع، ثانيا التوقف على الأهمية التي يحظى بها المسكن لدى الفرد والمجتمع، والذي تجاوز الحضور المادي إلى ما هو اجتماعي وثقافي. لنصل في الأخير للحديث عن أبعاد المسكن والتي لخصت في ثلاث أبعاد رئيسية: -السكن كداعم للهوية- السكن كبعد اجتماعي- السكن كمؤشر ثقافي.

Housing occupies an important place in a person's life. It represents for him a way of life from the standpoint of his social existence. To have a house means to secure a place that will protect him from all external hazards and preserve his privacy so that will be liberated from all restrictions, and constitutes a secure field for socialization, strengthening social relations as well as connecting him with his social environment. Thus, weaving an interaction relationship between the individual and his dwelling, as each affects the other. This research paper is an attempt to confirm the important role that housing has from a sociological angle. Starting with the conceptual rooting of housing, as addressed by a group of sociologists, to the importance of housing for the individual and society, which transcends the physical presence to what is social and cultural. Finally, we will talk about the dimensions of housing, which were summarized in three main dimensions: housing as a supporter of identity, housing as a social dimension, housing as a cultural indicator.

Le logement occupe une place importante dans la vie personnelle de chaque individu. Elle représente pour lui un mode de vie en relation étroite avec son existence sociale. Posséder un logement signifie sécuriser un lieu qui le protégera de tous les aléas extérieurs et préservera son intimité afin qu'il soit libéré de toutes les contraintes. Aussi il constitue un champ rassuré de socialisation, renforçant les relations sociales ainsi que sa liaison à son appartenance sociale. Ainsi, tissant une relation d'interaction réciproque entre l'individu et son logement. Cet article tente de confirmer le rôle important que joue le logement d'un point de vue sociologique. Partant de l'enracinement conceptuel du logement, tel qu'abordé par un groupe de sociologues, à l'importance du logement pour l'individu et la société, qui transcende la présence physique à ce qui est social et culturel. Enfin, nous parlerons des dimensions du logement, qui ont été résumées en trois grandes dimensions: le logement comme support identitaire, le logement comme dimension sociale et le logement comme indicateur culturel.
