المستخلص: هدف الدراسة: هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة ميول طلبة الصف الثاني عشر (تخصص علمي) نحو المهن والتخصصات الأكاديمية بالهيئة العامة للتعليم التطبيقي والتدريب)، في ضوء بعض المتغيرات. عينة الدراسة: تكونت عينة الدراسة من (١٣٤) متعلما من الجنسين، واستخدم الباحث استبانة أعدها لتتناسب مع هدف الدراسة. نتائج الدراسة: أهم العوامل الدراسية المؤثرة في اختيار التخصص هي اختيار: وظائف ذات مرتبات عالية، وظائف ذات مكانة اجتماعية عالية، تخصصات ذات فرص عمل متوافرة، وظائف ذات طبيعة إدارية (العمل في المكاتب)، وظائف ذات طبيعة مهنية (العمل الفني: الورش والمختبرات)، تخصصات ذات سنوات دراسية قليلة (الدبلوم)، وبالنسبة لتحديد التخصصات المطروحة في الهيئة العامة للتعليم التطبيقي والتدريب فجاءت حسب الأبعاد كما يلي: البعد الأول: وظائف ذات مكانة اجتماعية مرتفعة هندسة كيميائية، العلوم الصيدلانية، بكالوريوس صحة بيئية، والبعد الثاني: وظائف ذات مرتبات مرتفعة: تكنولوجيا تشغيل مصافي، هندسة كيميائية (بكالوريوس)، معلم التربية الأساسية، وبالنسبة للبعد الثالث: وظائف ذات طبيعة إدارية ومالية وقانونية: البنوك، التأمين، السجلات الطبية، وبالنسبة للبعد الرابع الخاص بالوظائف ذات الطبيعة المهنية فكانت بالترتيب التالي: العلوم الصيدلانية، معلم تربية أساسية، التخصصات التكنولوجية، وبالنسبة للتخصصات ذات سنوات دراسية قليلة فجاءت بالترتيب التالي: البنوك، تكنولوجيا تشغيل مصافي، وبالنسبة للبعد السادس تخصصات ذات طبيعة عمل متوافرة: معلم (تربية أساسية)، تكنولوجيا تشغيل مصافي، هندسة بترول إنتاج وتصدير.

The study aimed to explore the preferences of twelfth-grade students (scientific specialization) regarding professions and academic majors at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, considering specific variables. The study sample consisted of 134 students of both genders, and the researcher employed a questionnaire designed to align with the study's objectives. The study's results highlighted several key academic factors influencing the choice of majors, including the desire for high-paying jobs, jobs with high social status, majors with available job opportunities, administrative jobs (office-based), professional jobs (technical work in workshops and laboratories), and majors with shorter study durations (Diploma programs). The academic majors offered by the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training were classified into various dimensions. The first dimension included jobs with high social status, such as Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and a Bachelor's in Environmental Health. The second dimension focused on jobs with high salaries, such as Refinery Operations Technology, a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, and teaching in Basic Education. The third dimension covered administrative, financial, and legal jobs, such as Banking, Insurance, and Medical Records. The fourth dimension pertained to professional jobs, including Pharmaceutical Sciences, teaching in Basic Education, and Technological Specializations. The fifth dimension included majors with shorter study durations, such as Banking and Refinery Operations Technology. Finally, the sixth dimension highlighted majors with readily available job opportunities, such as teaching in Basic Education, Refinery Operations Technology, and Petroleum Engineering (Production and Export).
