المستخلص: This study aims to analyze the reality of tourism in Algeria, and evaluate the strategies adopted by the authorities to promote this sector, because despite the great potential that the country possesses thanks to its natural and cultural diversity, tourism in Algeria still suffers from a noticeable weakness. In this context, the study reviewed the government's efforts to promote tourism, including improving infrastructure, developing promotional campaigns, and facilitating administrative procedures, however, despite initiatives, Algeria has yet to attract significant tourists or increase its global market share. The study concluded that there is an urgent need to adopt a comprehensive vision and long-term strategies to enhance the competitiveness of tourism in Algeria, which will contribute to developing the national economy and increasing the revenues of this vital sector.
