This study aims to shed light on the phenomenon of violence against the wife, as she is one of the vulnerable groups most vulnerable to violence within the family. All forms of violence to which a wife may be exposed were explained, whether physical, economic, psychological, or verbal. In addition to clarifying the protective mechanisms that the Algerian legislator introduced through a legal arsenal, which is mainly represented in Law 15/19 amending the Penal Code, through which it aims to deter the phenomenon of marital violence and preserve the entity and stability of the marital bond. |
