The analysis of the age pyramid indicates a transition to an older population, with a declining birth rate and increasing mortality due to aging. Infant mortality is decreasing, and life expectancy is rising, particularly concerning maternal and child health. Demographic transformations will impact India, Nigeria, China, the United States, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Cet article explore les projections démographiques mondiales jusqu'en 2100, envisageant une population de 10 à 15 milliards selon l'ONU. Il souligne des changements continentaux, avec une diminution prévue en Asie et en Amérique latine, compensée par une augmentation significative en Afrique. L'analyse de la pyramide des âges indique une transition vers une population plus âgée, avec une baisse de la natalité et une hausse de la mortalité liée au vieillissement.
