المستخلص: The study aims primarily to present and analyze one of the current challenges facing European energy markets, particularly Liquefied Natural Gas markets in the European Union in light of the repercussions of the current Russian-Ukrainian crisis and the decisions taken by the European Union to deal with it. This study also focuses –in particular– on the “RepowerEU” plan, which aims to ensure the EU's energy independence from Russian fossil fuels and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. It also discusses the implications of the energy crisis on global LNG markets as well as on OAPEC LNG exporters considering the European Union's strategic options in moving towards liquefied natural gas, by analyzing exports over the past ten years (2012-2022), including changes in the aftermath of the crisis (2022-2024).
