Political reformist and revolutionary movements were witnessed in many Arab countries last year. Radical changes took place in the structures as well as political systems of some countries and the peoples took over. This is going to have a real influence on the Arab Spring states’ stance on Arab issues, in general, and the Palestinian cause, in particular, and paves the way for a close “Palestinian spring.” Thus, the Middle East Studies Center in Amman held a seminar titled Arab Uprisings’ Influence and Their Regional, International Interaction with the Palestinian Cause, joined by a number of Jordanian scholars and politicians. Two main topics were discussed: Arab Uprisings’ Influence on the Palestinian Cause and the Strategic Influence of the Arab Spring on the Palestinian Cause. According to the participants, the approaches of the new governments shaped by the public will are going to serve the Palestinian interest, for they will truly represent the peoples’ desire to give a priority to the Palestinian cause. It is Israel that sees the Arab revolutions a as a strategic threat to its existence. The participants also argued that the Palestinians are capable to follow the same fashion of the Arab spring in a bid to achieve national reconciliation and rearrange their internal affairs, accounting on a deep pan-Arab support.
