The research supposes that adding additional letters to the words (in Arabic) comes into two types: the first comes by the extension of the vowel until it is change into a letter. This type could not change the meaning of the word or add any additional meaning to the word. This type is performed either to establish the verse meter or it is a matter of language specification. In the second type, the addition of the letter is obligatory, in this type the process of adding any additional letter usually changes the meaning or adds additional meaning. This leads us to believe that these is a difference between the two Arabic prepositions of (بين) and (بينا) because the letter (ا) in (بينا) means that the addition of (ا) in (بينا) represents addition required to follow the position of the word which lets the word to acquire an additional meaning to give the reader/ hearer a lot of time to study the position given by the speaker / reader to link one position by another by using (بينا) in which the adding of (ا) acquires the word the meaning of (condition) as different to the word (بين) in which no (condition) is seen. Accordingly, we affirm the opinion of (Ibin Jenni) in his book titled (Al- Khassaies) (The characteristics) in which he claims that: any additional letter in the structure of the word means addition to the meaning of that word. This research shows when the addition to the structure of the word is necessary and has a relative function in the sentence, and when it is a matter of prolonging to the vowel the poet is obliged to use it in order to establish the verse meter.
