المستخلص: This study addresses the role of political parties in empowering the democratic regime regarding it as the most important institution assigned to the raising of peoples' political awareness and formulating effective popular view, as well as handling the integration and mutual dependency between states and civil society organizations to reach social peace and political settlement, then good governance. The study also addresses the formation of the Sudanese political parties, its leadership composition, the inner institutional crisis factionalism impact on some of the parties, parties' subdivisions and fragmentation, and reformation calls from some political segments.
