المستخلص: The topic of caliph's conferences in the abbaslide's peried one of the topics that worthy to be studied, for their role and prominent effect on tackling the prevailing conditions during that era on the politcat and military arenas, on various cultural aspects and on what is coincided with that era as the development in som administratire, economic, social and literary aspects. As well, this topic has never veen studied before as an independent academic study from a historical standpoint. This dissertation includes an introduction and four chapters. The introduction tackles the definition of the conference ( Majlis) in language and trminology. It also tackles the conferences of Araic kings before Islam such as AL-Sabba'een, AL-Manathira and AL-Ghasasina and their role in the administration of those kingdoms. It tackles the Arabic conferences before Islam till the rise of the Abbashides' state. The first chapter treats the etiquette in the caliphs' conferences. It is divided in tho five sectons. The first treats with the shape of the conference, the second treats the porter profession and permission etiquette. The third treats the etiquette of speech before caliphs. The fourth treats the etiqette of eating before caliphs and five treats other etiquettes. The second chapter includes religions, literary, and scientific confereces. It includes three cections; the first treats the religions conferences, the second treats litearary and linguistics conferences, the third treats the scientific conferences. The third chapter includes the political caliphs' conference. It is divided in to five sections ; the first treats the caliphs' conference for the choosing of the crown prince. The second treas the caliphs' conferences with the minesters. The third treats the political consulting for the caliphs. The fourth treats the conferences of complaints. The fifth teats the caliphs' conferences for the reception of delegtions. The fourth chapter includes the caliph's social conference. It is divided into five sections. The first treals the caliph's counciles of fanlily and society. The second treats the caliph's councils of Foregiwe ness. The third treats the caliph's councils at consoltion saed congatulations. The fourth treats the caliph's councils af needs. The fifth treats the caliph's councils of voon compnions.
