المستخلص: The research problematic boarders end at the strong tendencies supporting vertical housing as part of a strategic perspective to develop the housing sector in Sudan. Methodological introduction demonstrates subject, aims and concepts complications. The basic research hypothesis is selected depending on views of 500 respondents of a random sample from Khartoum city. The application framework reviews the visible image of housing patterns and vertical housing and environmental intensification measures reflected by the constructional plan of Khartoum State. Users’ reviews and the extent of their acceptance of vertical housing are also measured. Research subjects include a framework that implies behavioral consideration in designing systems of vertical housing as well as a brief review of modification aspects which appeared as behavioral reaction by users towards vertical housing. Finally, the study comes out with some planning consequences and recommendations relying on behavioral perspective aiming at improving vertical housing experience in Sudan.
