Since its early stages in the 19th century, Alternative education has been related to the idea of liberation of man thinking, defending rights to direct life and self- determination and refusal to the only one educational choice (compulsory). Hence, many social movements have searched for different alternative education such as character education, Charter schools, virtual schools, home schooling, Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Eimlia schooling, Holistic education, Essential education and others. One of the growing alternatives of education is the democratic schools which are based on democratic principles and complete and equal participation of every member of school community, as a result of how democracy prospers for various reasons. However, the journey to transform a traditional school into a democratic one, requires changing the school culture and climate through changing the way people thinking and their perspectives on matters, through a radical review of prevailing circumstances. The necessity of change and transformation is embedded in the desire to continue and develop and to change the world for the better. \
