المستخلص: Lack of gender equality is considered the most unfair in any society because it affects practically half of the population, as development which woman isn’t involved in and don’t have rights and duties is development at risk. The World Bank reports confirm that there is rarely country in the world which has equality in social and economic rights for women and men. Women still have less control over production sources and resources including land, education, information and financial resources in many countries. work for women's rights developed from just supporting for her negative right to not be discriminated against her to a more positive curve which represented in seeking for empowering her not only to achieve equality between men and women, but also to activate and support the development process. International community paid special attention to gender equality in the Millennium Development Goals as it devoted the third goal to promote gender equality and empower women due to the importance of freedoms available to women in society and their role in social change. From this point it became quite clear through international work for women the full faith that enabling them is a prerequisite for success of the development process and its sustainability.
