This report applies some IS/IT concepts, tools and theories to look out at a project being developed in a government organization in Saudi Arabia, General Directory of Military Survey (GDMS). The project is set up in 2008. A prototype of it is released by internal developers who received appreciating and support from top management. However, some challenges faced the project halting it from achieving its goals. These challenges, which include project uncertainty, lack of processes governance and lack support from users, are discussed in report. On the other hand, the report uses information that has been gathered during project analysis to list the findings that result in project failure. The project also suggests to use Kotter model, which proven his efficiency in many projects, to successfully manage the change. In addition, using a selected process, the report provides a partial solution to do business processes reengineering. Finally, the report makes a conclusion and suggestions for further work
