المستخلص: This study aims to identify the difficulties that face Libyan EFL university students in translating texts from English to Arabic language. It tries to find suitable solutions for such difficulties, which the fourth year students experience. The researcher used the analytical descriptive method to carry out this study. The study population is the Libyan EFLuniversity students at Faculty of Arts - Benghazi University, in the academic year 20145. The researcher selected randomly (50) students from the fourth year faculty of Arts - Al-Kufra, Benghazi university as a reasonable sample for this study. A test which was composed of seven questions, was designed in order to gather the data which explore the difficulties and problems that face these students. Then the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) program was applied in the study. At the end, the study came out with many results, but the most important one is that: Libyan students who specialized in English language at University of Benghazi - Al-Kufra branch, neglect the principles of translation. The reason behind this is that, they study only one introductory course in translation during the four years of study. According to the results obtained, the study recommends the following: 1- Translation courses should be increased in the syllabus taught to the students specialized in English language at Benghazi University - Al-Kufra, because such courses will introduce a wide range of experience for the students. 2- English Department at Benghazi University should introduce all translation difficulties and problems in details within two courses at least. 3- Students should pay more attention for cultural, conceptual, idiomatic and grammatical difficulties that may face them in translation. 4- English language teachers should encourage Libyan university students to translate different kinds of issues such as tenses, proverbs, etc from english to Arabic,
