The inter-Arab trade is one of the most important topics of Arab economic integration. And despite the fact that the proportion of inter- Arab trade, except the oil, did not exceed 10% of the total external trade of Arab States until the beginnings of the twentieth century although, the inter-Arab trade is the basic motivation for a strong integration of Arab States which they seek to achieve. In order to analyse the reasons for the low rate of inter-Arab trade , one is faced with a variety of reasons or constraints such as: - Similarity of the structures of production and exports - Lack of political will and genuine openness - Lack of a national policy Arab Organization for Industrialization - Non-availability of transport network - Varying tariffs and customs restrictions - Link Arab States with other countries through conventions (with the European Union and the United States) - Complexity of the procedures and practices and customs transit procedures - Other non-tariff restrictions (such as administrative restrictions, quantity and monetary policies ... etc.) Therefore, the study recommends eliminating all obstacles, especially non-tariff restrictions, the provision and development of the means of transportation and diversify production structures among Arab countries so as to achieve the desired integration.
