المستخلص: The study dealt with coding of quantitative dots in the distribution maps manually and mechanically by using the GIS technology applied in the population distribution coding in the central states of Sudan. Significance of the problem and its delimitations are in the using of the GIS technology in solving the problems of coding the quantitative dots in the distribution maps was rarely utilized although its very useful as a practical technology. While, producing distribution maps through the traditional methods is a problem when modem technology was available. The importance of the paper came from the fact that GIS is a distinguished tool by its accuracy in map production. Objective of the paper was to study the problems of coding the quantitative dots in the production of distribution maps by traditional methods and to study the possibility of solving the problems of dots coding in the production of distribution maps using GIS. The methodology followed temporal resolution using the data of he fifth Sudanese census 2008.and spatial resolution in the suburbs of Almadeena Arab- 61 villages and towns administered by the locality of Southern Gezira-Gezira State, a part of the Sudanese Central States (Khartoum State, Gezira and White Nile State). The study results confirmed that the problems of coding the quantitative dots in distribution maps can be solved by using 3IS with ease and accuracy. The study recommended that highly rained personnel on RE& GIS and workshops, conferences and Seminars are needed..
