المستخلص: تعد المجلة واحدة من وسائل الإعلام المطبوعة التي تمثل بوابة مهمة لهذا العالم الواسع، نظراً لما تقدمه من متعة ذهنية وثقافية للمتلقي تمس الحاجات اليومية له وفي شتى الاتجاهات. ويعتبر غلاف المجلة هو صاحب المظهر والأثر الأول الذي تبدو فيه المجلة بما يحمله من قيمة وظيفية وجمالية تدفع القارئ إلى اقتنائها، حيث يسعى المصمم لإجتذاب المتلقي وتحقيق أفضل درجات الاتصال البصري بتفعيله التنوع بالمفردات البنائية لغلاف المجلة وبما يتسق مع الفكرة التصميمية. تضمن البحث الحالي أربعة فصول، تناول الفصل الأول منها، مشكلة البحث وتمثلت بالتساؤل الآتي ما دور التنوع الشكلي في تعزيز البنية التصميمية لغلاف المجلة؟، وأهمية ذلك في إمكانية إغناء الجانب المعرفي والمهارى للمصممين والمتخصصين في مجال التصميم الطباعي، ويمكن أن يمثل إضافة علمية للمكتبة التصميمية. وكان هدف البحث (تعرف التنوع الشكلي في بنية تصاميم أغلفة المجلات العربية). أما حدود البحث: فتضمنت الحدود الموضوعية: التنوع الشكلي في بنية تصاميم الأغلفة الأمامية للمجلات (صدر الغلاف)، والحدود المكانية: المجلات المتخصصة في شؤون المرأة والصادرة في دول الخليج العربي، أما الحدود الزمانية: الثلاثة أشهر الأولى من سنة (2013) كونها سنة إعداد البحث. أما الفصل الثاني فقد تضمن ثلاثة مباحث: تناول المبحث الأول نبذة متخصرة عن التنوع والوحدة والأساليب الإخراجية لغلاف المجلة وتضمن أيضاً التنوع في الأنظمة وفي الأسس والعلاقات التصميمية، أما المبحث الثاني فتناول مفهوم الشكل وعناصر البنية التصميمية لغلاف المجلة وتضمنت اسم المجلة وسطر التاريخ واللون وعنوانات الغلاف والصور والرسوم. وبعدها تم استخلاص المؤشرات التي أسفر عنها الإطار النظري كمادة علمية أفادت منها في إجراءاتها وطريقة بحثها في تحليل محتوى العينات، إذ اختارت الباحثة هذه الطريقة لملائمة مراحلها الإجرائية في التحليل. وتناولت (إجراءات البحث) خمسة عينات بحثية بالوصف والتحليل، أما الفصل الرابع فقد تضمن عرضاً للنتائج التي توصلت إليها الباحثة والاستنتاجات والمقترحات والتوصيات.
