المستخلص: تأتي أهمية دراسة موضوع الطواف بالكعبة المشرفة من تلك المشاهدات والظواهر التي دونتها كتب الرحلات باعتبارها شاهد عيان لما تم من أحداث أثناء زيارتهم وإقامتهم حاجين أو معتمرين أو زائرين، حيث لاحظوا بمشاهدتهم اليومية مظاهر عكست جمالية الروح الدينية وشرائعها في التطبيق والممارسة العملية، فابرزوا تلك الظواهر في تأنق غاية في الدقة والوضوح، كالمواكب والاحتفالات والفرح والسرور في الأشهر الحرم، ويقابل ذلك مشاهداتهم لبعض السلوكيات الناجمة عن الجهل أو التقليد الأعمى في بعض الأحيان كسلوكيات بعض القرامطة والطواف عريا، ومن أبرز هؤلاء الرحالة (ابن جبير، وابن بطوطة، وناصر خسروا)، وقد استخدمت المنهج البحثي المقارن في سرد الروايات التاريخية لإثبات وتدقيق وتمحيص صحة تلك المشاهدات للرحالة من جهة ولمقارنتها مع المصادر التاريخية من جهة أخرى أملا في الوصول إلى السرد الموضوعي لتفاصيل البحث.

The importance of studying the topic of the circumambulation around the Holy Kaaba stems from those observations and phenomena recorded by the travelers accounts as an eyewitness of what happened during their visit and residence in Mecca, as pilgrims or visitors. They have noticed on their daily observing the aspects that reflected the aesthetic of the religious spirit in application and practice. Furthermore, they illuminated these phenomena in a very elegant and clear elegance, such as processions, celebrations, joy and happiness during the sacred months. While, on the other hand, this contrasts with their other observations of some behaviors resulting from ignorance or blind imitation in some cases, such as the behaviors of some Qarmatians and the naked circumambulation. In this paper, I have used the comparative research method in narrating historical narratives to prove, check and scrutinize the validity of those observations of the travelers on the one hand; comparing them with other contemporary historical sources on the other hand. Eventually, aiming to clarify and prove the validity of these narratives and comparing them with contemporary sources to achieve an objective view on the topic.
