المستخلص: إن ارتباط الفنون بحياة الإنسان جعلته دائم البحث عن أساليب مبتكرة وملائمة لتعبيره، ليكشف من خلالها عن قيم جديدة تساعده على تطوير القيم الأصلية ذي الطابع الفريد، فالتصميم أصل كل الفنون، ومحصلة للقدرات المتمثلة في الذكاء والقدرات الفنية معا. وترجع أهمية التصميم إلى أنه أسلوب الحياة، والطريقة للتخلص من الفوضى واللانظام للوصول إلي الجمال ويشمل التصميم الأزياء، الأثاث؛ العمارة، والنسيج...الخ. والأزياء صفة تعبيرية كبري، وفن ذو طبيعة إنسانية، وثيق الصلة بالحياة والمجتمع، حيث تستوعب متغيرات العصر، ليس فقط على المستويات المحلية المتباعدة، إنما على المستوي العالمي. ويعد تصميم الأزياء منتجات للإبداع الفكري والتطبيقي والمهارى وأحد الفنون التطبيقية والزخرفية ولذلك يطلق عليه فن تصميم الأزياء. ولقد تأثرت الموضة بشكل كبير بالحلي التراثي لاسيما التراث الأفريقي، وإضافته على الملابس العصرية ومزجه أيضا بالإكسسوارات الحديثة مرصعا به أنواعا من الخرز ليضفي جمالا خاصا. فالتراث الإفريقي مرتبط كليا بالبيئة وبالمجتمع الإفريقي، من خلاله يستطيع الفنان إنتاج فن متميز نابع من سلوكه اليومي مع البيئة المحيطة. والتطريز فن عالمي، وأحد الفنون الإسلامية وتراثا أصيلا يتوارثه الأبناء من الأجداد، يشمل ابتكارات زخرفية بالإبرة مكونا أسلوبا زخرفيا يعبر عن المكان والعصر الذي وجد فيه. يتم من خلال هذه الدراسة عرض وصفي تحليلي للمشغولات الفنية لقبيلة الماساي بكينيا، بالإضافة إلي عمل دراسة تطبيقية لاستخدام الأشكال الهندسية في مشغولات الماساي كزخارف كمصدر اقتباس لتصميم الأزياء المعاصرة.

The association of arts with human life made him constantly search for innovative and appropriate methods for expressing it, to reveal new values that help him develop original values of a unique character. Design is the origin of all arts, and the result of abilities represented in intelligence and artistic abilities Together. The importance of design is due to the fact that it is the way of life, and the way to get rid of chaos and disorder in order to reach beauty, and it includes design of fashion, furniture, architecture, and textiles...etc. Fashion is a great expressive quality, and an art of a human nature, closely related to life and society, as it accommodates the changes of the times, not only on the distant local levels, but at the global level. Fashion design is considered a product of intellectual, applied and skillful creativity, and one of the applied and decorative arts, and therefore it is called the art of fashion design. Fashion has been greatly influenced by traditional jewelry, especially African heritage, and it was added to modern clothes and also mixed with modern accessories, studded with types of beads to add a special beauty. The African heritage is totally linked to the environment and African society, through which the artist is able to produce distinct art that stems from his daily behavior with the surrounding environment. Embroidery is an international art, and it is one of the Islamic arts and an original heritage that children can inherit from grandparents, which includes decorative innovations with needlework, creating a decorative style that expresses the place and age in which it was found.. Through this study, an analytical descriptive presentation of the Jewelry of the Maasai tribe in Kenya is presented, in addition to an applied study of the use of geometric shapes in Maasai Jewelry as motifs as an adaptation source for contemporary fashion design.
