المستخلص: "the journey is an ancient phenomenon related to the human history since ancient times. When its purposes were multiple, it gave birth to a prose art known as the literature of trips which formed a large wealth of knowledge and a stock of stories, phenomena and stories in which the author portrays what happened to him from events and what he had encountered from other things in the course of a journey made to a country, or narrate his feelings towards what he saw and what he heard. Many Algerians scientists believed that their personalities could not be completed unless they mentioned they made trips to the orient, nothing their names and registering their certification and stating the works they had a look on. Among the most famous hijazi trips in middle Maghreb (Algeria) in the modern era, the one made by abderrezak ibn hamadush, and perhaps the reasons that led me to choose this character is that his trip is wholly available, characterized by scientific matters, in addition to political, economic and social news. Abderrezak ibn hamadush was a traveler and a historian. He was born and brought up in Algeria. He was famous for his ability to produce marvelous pieces of writing and poems. He was a herbalist and a doctor. Lucien Leclerc said about him that he was the last who represented the Arab medicine."
