المستخلص: تعرف المكتبات العمومية تحولات في مبانيها وانتشارا واسعا في الفضاء العمراني داخل المدن عبر العالم، اكتسبت من خلالها أدوارا ووظائف جديدة تجعل منها شريك تنموي ومحرك حيوي لهذه المجتمعات، وعليه جاءت هذه الورقة لتعرض أحد هذه الأدوار الجديدة المرتبطة بالبعد الأيكولوجي للاستدامة. كما تركز هذه الدراسة على استراتيجية (استراتيجيات) السلطات العمومية الجزائرية المعتمدة لمشاريع المكتبات العمومية خلال الألفية الثالثة، ومعرفه مدى اقترابها من التحولات والتوجهات التي ترتكز على المعايير الأيكولوجية في إنشاء وتصميم مباني هذه المكتبات، وكيفيات إدماجها في النشاط البيئي والتنمية المستدامة.

Public libraries witness transformations in their buildings and a wide spread in urban space within cities around the world, through which they have acquired new roles and functions make them a developing partner and a vital driver for these communities, so this paper sheds light on one of these new roles associated with the ecological dimension of sustainability. The study also focuses on the strategy (strategies) of the Algerian public authorities adopted for public library projects during the third millennium, knowing as to how close they are to transformations, changes and trends based on ecological criteria in the construction and design of the buildings of these libraries, and how Their integration into the environmental activity and sustainable development.

Les bibliothèques sont en mutations permanente et profonde dans leurs constructions et leurs implantations dans l’espace urbain, apportent une nouvelle conception dans leurs fonctions liée au thème de développement durable; ils nécessitaient une adaptation permanente dans des services comme partenaire. Le but de ce travail est de soutenir et de sensibiliser la question écologique en tant qu’institution. L'étude se concentre également sur la stratégie (les stratégies) nationale des bibliothèques publiques, mise en œuvre au cours du troisième millénaire par les autorités publiques algériennes, pour déterminer dans quelle mesure les bâtiments sont couverts par les normes écologiques, et quels en sont les effets globaux, en termes de perception, de missions et fonctionnement de la bibliothèque.
