المستخلص: This scientific article tries to present the European Union, especially the history of its origins or the three communities that were the basis for the creation of the EU, the political institutions that founded the EU. In addition, an attempt is made to indicate their competencies, also to present the economic situation, especially the individual stages towards a unified economic union. The member countries of the European Union and intergovernmental cooperation are also presented.

In diesem wissenschaftlichen Artikel wird versucht, die Europäische Union darzustellen, besonders die Entstehungsgeschichte bzw. die drei Gemeinschaften, die die Basis für die Schaffung der EU waren, die politischen Institutionen, die die EU gründeten. Außerdem wird versucht deren Kompetenzen anzudeuten, auch die wirtschaftliche Lage darzustellen, besonders die einzelnen Etappen hin zu einer einheitlichen Wirtschaftsunion präsentiert. Weiteres werden die Mitgliedsländer der Europäischen Union, sowie die zwischenstaatliche zusammenarbeit vorgestellt.
