المستخلص: ترصد الدراسة واقع استخدام وتطبيق البرمجيات مفتوحة المصدر لإدارة الدوريات العلمية المتخصصة في مجال المكتبات والمعلومات المتاحة على شبكة الويب وخصوصا العربية منها لرفع كفاءتها الإدارية، وتحسين مستوى النشر بها. اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي بأسلوبيه المسحي والتحليلي؛ ولأغراض البحث تم استخدام مجموعة من أدوات جمع البيانات منها: المقابلة الشخصية مع عينة من العاملين بإدارة الدوريات العربية المتخصصة في مجال المكتبات والمعلومات، والاستبيان لدراسة الوضع الراهن لاستخدام البرمجيات مفتوحة في إدارة الدوريات المتخصصة في مجال المكتبات والمعلومات؛ وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن جميع البرمجيات محل الدراسة تتوافر فيها المهام الرئيسية المطلوبة في كل نظام، وهى "إدارة البرامج، إرسال المقالات، التحكيم، التحرير العلمي للمقالات، إتاحة الدورية للاستخدام، والتسويق والدعاية"، يقع برنامج IKNITO Journals System في المرتبة الأولى من حيث الاستخدام من قبل الدوريات العربية المتخصصة في مجال المكتبات، ويليه برنامج Publication Review and Organization System كأحد أهم برامج نشر وإدارة الدوريات العربية، بينما باقي الدوريات العربية المتخصصة في مجال المكتبات تعتمد على نظام القوالب Template الإلكترونية الجاهزة، أهم معوقات استخدام البرمجيات مفتوحة المصدر الخاصة بإدارة الدوريات المتخصصة في مجال المكتبات يرجع إلى عدم وجود متخصصين محليين لدعم وتطوير استخدام تلك البرامج من جانب، ومشكلة التعريب من جانب آخر، أهم مقترحات زيادة مستوى الوعي لاستخدام البرمجيات مفتوحة المصدر في إدارة الدوريات العربية في المجال، عقد الندوات وورش العمل، إصدار النشرات للتعريف بنظم إدارة مفتوحة المصدر.

This study monitors the reality of using and applying open source software to manage scientific journals specialized in the field of libraries and information available on the Web, especially the Arabic ones, to raise their administrative efficiency and improve the level of publishing in them The study relied on the descriptive approach, with its survey and analytical methods. For the purposes of the research, a set of data collection tools were used, including: a personal interview with a sample of workers in the administration of Arab periodicals specialized in the field of libraries and information, and a questionnaire to study the current status of the use of open source software in the management of specialized periodicals in the field of libraries and information; The study reached a set of results, most notably: All the software under study have the main tasks required in each system, which are “program management, sending articles, arbitration, scientific editing of articles, making the periodical available for use, marketing and advertising.” The IKNITO Journals System program is ranked The first in terms of use by Arab periodicals specialized in the field of libraries, followed by the Publication Review and Organization System program as one of the most important programs for publishing and managing Arab periodicals, while the rest of the Arab periodicals specialized in the field of libraries depend on the ready-made electronic template system, the most important obstacles to the use of open source software for managing Specialized periodicals in the field of libraries due to the lack of local specialists to support and develop the use of these programs on the one hand, and the problem of Arabization on the other, the most important proposals to increase the level of awareness of the use of open source software in managing Arab periodicals in the field, holding seminars and workshops, issuing bulletins to introduce systems Open source journal management.
