المستخلص: أثرت جائحة كورونا على جميع سكان العالم بمختلف مجتمعاته ويشمل ذلك الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية حيث يعتبرون أكثر عرضة للخطر خلال هذه الجائحة لأسباب تتعلق بمستوى شدة الإعاقة والمشاكل الصحية والظروف الاجتماعية المصاحبة للجائحة بالإضافة إلى محدودية الفهم لديهم. أدى الإغلاق الكامل أثناء الجائحة إلى تقييد الوصول إلى التعليم والصحة والخدمات الأخرى والذي جعل الحياة بالنسبة لذوي الإعاقة أكثر صعوبة. لذلك سعت الدراسة لمعرفة تأثير جائحة كورونا على الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية حيث اعتمدت هذه الورقة على المنهج الاستقرائي من خلال مراجعة الأدبيات الحديثة في هذا المجال عبر الوصول لقواعد البيانات التي أثمرت عن الحصول على العديد من الأدبيات المنشورة ذات العلاقة بمشكلة الدراسة. أظهرت النتائج عن وجود تأثير لجائحة كورونا على الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية تتمثل في محدودية الوصول إلى الخدمات التعليمية والصحية أثناء الجائحة على الرغم من اعتماد تقديم الخدمات عبر المنصات التقنية. كذلك، يعتبر تنفيذ التدابير الصحية والوقائية أثناء الجائحة تحديا كبيرا لذوي الإعاقة الفكرية. أيضا، أوضحت النتائج عن وجود عواقب نفسية تتمثل في وجود مستويات عالية من القلق والاكتئاب والوحدة عند الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية وكذلك عوائلهم ومقدمي الرعاية. أخيرا، هناك عدد محدود من الدراسات التي أخذت بعين الاعتبار وجهات نظر الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية في مناقشة تأثير جائحة كورونا على هؤلاء الأشخاص. قدمت هذه الدراسة مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات البحثية المستقبلية.

COVID-19 pandemic has affected all the world’s population in its various societies, including people with intellectual disabilities, as they are considered more vulnerable during this pandemic for several reasons related to the severity of their disability, health problems and social conditions accompanying the pandemic, in addition to their limited understanding. The closure during the pandemic has restricted access to education, health and other services and made life more difficult for people with disabilities. Therefore, the study sought to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people with intellectual disabilities, as this paper relied on the inductive approach by reviewing recent literature in this field by accessing databases that resulted in obtaining many published studies related to the problem of the study. The results showed that there is an impact of the Corona pandemic on people with intellectual disabilities, which is limited access to educational and health services during the pandemic, despite the adoption of providing services through online platforms. Also, implementing health and preventive measures during the pandemic is a major challenge for people with intellectual disabilities. Also, the results indicated that there are psychological consequences represented in the presence of high levels of anxiety, depression, and loneliness in persons with intellectual disabilities as well as their families and caregivers. Finally, there are a limited number of studies that have considered the perspectives of persons with intellectual disabilities in discussing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on these people. This study presented a set of recommendations and future research suggestions.
