المستخلص: تعد نظرية إيرفنغ غوفمان الدرامية (Dramaturgical Theory) مدخلاً سوسيولوجياً درامياً متطوراً لفهم السلوك الاجتماعي وتحليل التفاعلات الإنسانية في مسار الاستكشاف الأعمق لخفايا السلوك الإنساني. وتشكل نظريته هذه بلورة مكثفة لمختلف الاتجاهات الأساسية في نظريات التفاعل الاجتماعي والرمزي على حد سواء. وتكمن عبقرية غوفمان في تناوله لمختلف الظواهر الاجتماعية وفق طريقة مبتكرة تعتمد التمثيل المسرحي الرمزي منهجية صميمية في استكشاف أبعاد السلوك الإنساني نفسياً واجتماعيا. تتناول الدراسة نظرية إرفينغ غوفمان ومدخله الدرامي الذي تناول فيه مختلف أوجه التفاعل الرمزي الدرامي بين أفراد في المجتمع. تستعرض الدراسة بدايةً نشأة النظرية وأصولها التاريخية والقضايا الاجتماعية التي تبحثها ولا سيما قضايا الهوية والذات والفعل والرمز. ومن ثم تتناول أعمال غوفمان وتستعرض أهم الأفكار والتصورات التي يقدمها في هذه الدراسات والأعمال ولا سيّما كتابه " تقديم الذات في الحياة اليومية " الذي يتصدر أعماله العلمية من حيث الأهمية والشمول. وتولي الدراسة نصيبا كبيرا لقضايا الهوية وعوامل نشأتها ودور التفاعل الرمزي في صقلها وتشكيل ملامحها الأساسية. ثم تتناول مفهوم التفاعل الاجتماعي الرمزي كما يراه غوفمان وتبحث في وظيفته الاجتماعية المشكلة للظواهر الاجتماعية. وأخيرا تستعرض الدراسة مختلف أوجه النقد التي وجهت إلى نظريته من قبل المفكرين والباحثين.

Irving Goffman's Dramaturgical Theory is an advanced dramatic sociological approach to understanding social behavior and analyzing human interactions in the path of deeper exploration of the mysteries of human behavior. His theory constitutes a condensed crystallization of the various basic trends in theories of social and symbolic interaction alike. Goffman's genius lies in his handling of various social phenomena according to an innovative method that adopts symbolic theatrical representation as an intimate methodology in exploring the psychological and social dimensions of human behavior. The study deals with the theory of Irving Goffman and his dramatic approach, in which he deals with various aspects of the symbolic and dramatic interaction between individuals in society. The study first reviews the emergence of the theory, its historical origins, and the social issues it examines, especially issues of identity, self, action, and symbol. Then, it deals with Goffman's work and reviews the most important ideas and perceptions that he presents in these studies and works, especially his book "Introducing Self in Daily Life", which is at the forefront of his scientific works in terms of importance and comprehensiveness. The study singles out a large share of identity issues, the factors of their origin, and the role of symbolic interaction in refining them and shaping their basic features. Then, it deals with the concept of symbolic social interaction as seen by Goffman, and examines its social function that constitutes social phenomena. Finally, the study reviews the various aspects of criticism directed at his theory by thinkers and researchers.
