يهدف البحث إلى قياس مدى تضمين وثيقة الدراسات الاجتماعية والوطنية في المرحلة المتوسطة بالمملكة العربية السعودية ، وكتب الدراسات الاجتماعية (كتاب الطالب، ودليل المعلم، كتاب النشاط للفصلين الدراسيين) في الصف الأول المتوسط لمفاهيم التربية الاقتصادية، وإعداد وحدة مقترحة في التربية الاقتصادية لطالبات الصف الأول المتوسط وقياس فاعليتها على التحصيل وتنمية الاتجاه، ولتحقيق ذلك تم استخدام أسلوب تحليل المحتوى، والمنهج التجريبي. وقد تكونت عينة البحث من مجموعتين: تجريبية (22 طالبة) وضابطة (22 طالبة). وأعدت الباحثة لذلك وحدة مقترحة في التربية الاقتصادية، ودليل إرشادي للمعلمة في تدريس الوحدة، كما أعدت اختبار تحصيل الهدف منه معرفة مدى إلمام الطالبة بمفاهيم التربية الاقتصادية ومضامينها، ومقياس الاتجاه نحو المادة. وقد أسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات طالبات المجموعتين في التطبيق البعدي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين القياس القبلي والبعدي للمجموعة التجريبية لصالح القياس البعدي، وأظهرت قيمة مربع "ايتا" فاعلية الوحدة في تنمية التحصيل والاتجاه نحو المادة للمجموعة التجريبية. وفي ضوء ذلك أوصت الباحثة بمجموعة من التوصيات تشير في مجملها إلى أهمية تدريس مفاهيم التربية الاقتصادية وتضمين وحدات مستقلة لتدريسها في مراحل التعليم العام والاستفادة من مواد وأدوات البحث الحالي، وتدريب معلمات المادة لتدريس الوحدة واستخدام الاستراتيجيات الحديثة في التدريس. واقترحت إعداد دراسات تتناول فاعلية وحدة مقترحة لتدريس مفاهيم التربية الاقتصادية في المرحلتين الابتدائية والثانوية، وفاعلية برنامج تدريبي مقترح في التربية الاقتصادية لمعلمات مراحل التعليم العام بالمملكة السعودية.
This paper aims at measuring the extent of including the social and national studies document within the intermediate school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the principles of economic education within social studies books (the student's book, the teacher's manual, and the activity book of first and second semesters). Znis paper is also intended to prepare a suggested unit of economic education for first -grade intermediate school female students and to measure its effectiveness in achievement and tendency development. To achieve that, the content analysis style and the experimental approach have been used. The research sample has included two groups: an experimental group (22 students) and a controlling group (22 students). The researcher has also designed a suggested unit in economic education and a directive manual for teaching that unit to be used by teachers. She has also prepared an achievement test which aims at identifying the student's knowledge of economic education principles and their meanings and a measurement of her tendency towards the course. The results show that there are statistically meaningful differences between the averages of the two groups' marks in the post- application for the benefit of the experimental group, and there are also statistically meaningful differences between the pre~ and post¬ measurement of the experimental group for the benefit of the post¬ measurement. Eita square value has shown the effectiveness of the unit in developing the experimental group's achievement and their tendency towards the course. The researcher has listed some recommendations which - in sum- indicate the importance of teaching economic education principles, including separate units for teaching them in the different stages of public education, making use of the data and tools of the present study, training the course teachers on teaching the unit, and using modem teaching strategies. She has also suggested conducting further studies dealing with the effectiveness of a suggested unit for teaching economic education principles in elementary and secondary schools and the effectiveness of a suggested training programme of economic education for female teachers in the different stages of public education in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
