هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن الخصائص السيكومترية لمقياس التوجه نحو المستقبل. حيث تناولت إثراء التراث الإنساني بمجموعة من المقاييس الهادفة والتي تخدم الفرد والمجتمع معا. ومساعدة الأفراد إلى ضرورة وجود توجه مستقبلي لديهم إيمانا بقدراتهن وطاقاتهن ومما يوفر الوقت والجهد معا. واستند المقياس على الأبعاد التالية القدرة على التخطيط للمستقبل وإدراك أهمية الوقت وإدراك أهمية المستقبل. كما اشتمل على مجموعة من الخصائص السيكومترية التي منها الصدق العاملي والاتساق الداخلي لعبارات المقياس. كما أشارت إلى الأسس التي ارتكز اليها المقياس ومنها حق الفرد وواجبه في اختيار طريقة الحياة مع عدم تعارض ذلك مع حقوق الأخرين والاقتناع بان القدرة على اختيار طريق الحياة هي قدرة مكتسبة وليست موروثة وأنها تحتاج إلى تنمية ومساعدة الأفراد كي يتمكنوا من مساعدة أنفسهم وتنمية المسؤولية لديهم وتوفير المعلومات الصحيحة والموثوق بها لمن يحتاجون لها. وتوصلت النتائج إلى ان جميع قيم معاملات الارتباط دالة إحصائية عند مستوي دلالة 0,05%. وان أبعاد المقياس وقيم معاملات الارتباط بين كل عبارة والبعد الذي تنتمي اليه دون الأبعاد الأخرى جاءت دالة إحصائيا عند مستوي 0,01% وجاءت النتائج مؤكدة على ان مقياس التوجه نحو المستقبل هو مقياس للتقرير الذاتي عن قدرة الفرد والطالب بالذات في التخطيط والتفكير السليم نحو المستقبل. كما يجب اختيار البيان الذي هو أفضل وصف لشخصية وتفكير المفحوص.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The study aimed at detecting the psychometric characteristics of the Future Orientation Scale (FOS), where it addressed the enrichment of the human heritage by a set of purposeful measures that aimed at serving the individual and society together, and helping the individuals to the need to have a future direction and to have a belief in their abilities and energies saving time and effort together. The scale was based on the following dimensions: the ability to plan for the future, grasp the importance of time, and recognize the importance of the future. It also included a set of psychometric characteristics, including: factorial validity, and internal consistency of the terms of the scale. It pointed as well to the foundations on which the scale was based, including the individual's right and duty to choose the way of life without contradicting with the rights of others. Moreover, the conviction that the ability to choose the path of life is an acquired capacity and not inherited, and that it needs to be developed and assisted by the individuals so that they can help themselves, develop their responsibility, and provide the correct and reliable information for those who need it. The results showed that all the correlation coefficients were statistically significant at 0.05%. The dimensions of the scale and the values of the correlation coefficients between each statement and the dimension to which they belong without the other dimensions were statistically significant at 0.01%. The results confirm that the future orientation scale is a scale of the self-determination of the individual and student's ability to plan and think properly towards the future.
