المستخلص: This project report discusses the recruitment and selection strategy, the appropriateness of methods adopted and its relative impact on effective people resourcing for the organisation. To understand the recruitment and selection strategy and the appropriate methods used in recruiting and selecting the right individuals, a research study was undertaken in Al Haitam for Industries and Economic Development Co. The research study was undertaken for both employees and managers in order to gain better understanding regarding the recruitment and selection process. In the research study, the recruitment and selection methods used, the process adopted, benefits, effectiveness of selection process, job analysis, the significant role of HR in the process, major strengths and weakness of the selection methods, the challenges faced by the managers and the measures undertaken were identified. From the study, it is observed that the company has formal and standard process of conducting recruitment and selection. As recruitment and selection methods, the company uses e-recruitment, personal recommendations, and job postings on company’s website. However, it is necessary for the company to use other methods that can help the company in sourcing preferred and suitable candidates. It is identified that recruitment and selection process is an essential and important HR function that enables the company to get right candidates for the right job. Moreover, having right candidate helps the company in achieving its goals and objectives and therefore, it is essential for line managers and HR to work as team in getting efficient candidates and make effective people resourcing to sustain in the competitive market.
