المستخلص: Praise be to Allah, prayer and Pease be upon the prophets and messengers and his family and companions. Repetition is considered one of the stylistic phenomena which is used in understanding the literary text. The rhetoric writers were alerted to repetition during their study of many examples of verse and prose; therefore, they explained its benefits and functions. The study plan: In this study, I used a plan depends on three parts preceded with an introduction. Introduction: Repetition: definition, origination, formulation and function. Chapter 1: Mahmood Aref and Mohammad Alissa’ growing up, configuration and their poetic status. This part contains of four sections: Section 1.1: The social and scientific lives of the poets. Section 1.2: The resources and the effects of the conservative renewed school which follow in its new literary doctrine a pairing system by keeping the former Arabic column shape in the poem and renewing it to fit the Era, environment, culture, scientific and intellectual progress and other requirements of the present. In this section, I also wrote about the renewed school which is obviously different from the previous school in breaking rules and artistic characteristics; therefore, they will not affect the text anymore and also this will change the routine inside the text. Section 1.3 The main features of the two schools in their literature since verse is a result of their literary experience. Section 1.4 The impact of the two schools in the Saudi poets. The poets of the conservative renewed school were affected in their artistic taste by the effect of the column shape of the ancient poetry. On the other hand, the renewed school affected the Saudi poets in their literature; thus, several new ideas appeared in their poems in addition to the main features of the new culture and the modern civilization. Chapter 2: A contrast between the two poets. It contains three sections Section 2.1: The motives and reasons behind repetition in the two poets’ writings. Section 2.2 The functions of repetition in the two poets’ styles according to their different schools. Section 2.3 The types of repetition which are used be the poets; such as, oral repetition, Bade’erepetition, semantic repetition and the repetition of sections. Chapter 3 Repetition in the two poets’ styles and elements of performance. This part contains three sections: Section 3.1: Repetition in relation to significance formation which was used by Alissa and Alaref in the poetic text. They used it in two directions; one is vertical and the other is horizontal in order to form an aesthetic tool which serves the poetic text and supports it with strength, effectiveness and impact. Section 3. 2: The relation between repetition and sentimental emotions whish affect the two poets. Section 3.3: The music value in poetry. In order to achieve this value, poets used many methods; such as, repetition. This section highlights this relation in Alaref and Alissa poetry. Section 3. 4: The relation between repetition and the linguistic structure of the poem. Section 3. 5: The relation between repetition and forming poetic image, in addition to creativity level in each poet’s work.
