المستخلص: This paper reviews the study of long term performance of GRE pipe under a combination of hydrostatic pressure and axial loads.. The Off-axis elastic constants and analysis of a unidirectional laminate has been analysed. A mathematical modelling for the GRE pipe has been created for estimate the pipe properties in axial and transverse directions. The effect of winding angle on the pipe properties are plotted and showed the significant degradation on elastic modulus in axial direction when winding angle changes from 0° to 90°. In addition, failure theory based on Tsai- Hill criterion has been applied for estimate the probable failure modes. It is expected that the failure mode in this type of loading is weep age of fluid through the pipe wall, due to the presence of network of matrix cracks which form over time. The predicted of axial and transverse envelope are also plotted for a published results and showed a fairly harmony with the experimental results
