المستخلص: This study primarily aims at revealing the general trend of the ratio of sky coverage by clouds in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah and studying the most important statistical features of clouding ratio, in addition to eliciting some relations linking this ratio with a number of the weather changes. To attain these goals, unpublished daily data were used for a number of weather elements attributable to the Meteorology station in Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul Aziz International Airport. Some statistical methods were applied to these data such as the standard deviations and ratios, and repetitions, in addition to applying Pearson correlation coefficient, simple regression, and multiple correlation. The study illustrates that the cloudy days repetition rate annually amounts to 250.25 days, and the clouding ratio rate in the cloudy days is 2.12 a/year, and there is a direction towards the increase of cloudy days, and another direction refers to the clouding ratio decrease with a rate of 0.013 a/year, the raining cloudy days 502% of the total cloudy days. Also, it outlines that the most cloudy season is Spring season , and the prevalent winds in these days are the western winds. Besides, (42) weather variables could explain 42% of the variation value in the clouding ratio with statistical significance according to F test. The study recommends the necessity of studying the general characteristics of clouds through the availability of an hourly or daily detailed data and using the remote sensing in these studies and the studying the possibility of causing some clouds to rain over Al Madinah Al Munawwarah.
