المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى تناول القلم في ضوء القرآن الكريم دراسة موضوعية. واعتمد على المنهج الاستقصائي في جمع الآيات القرآنية وتخريج الأحاديث والتعريف بالأعلام المذكورين وذكر أقوال أهل العلم. وتكون البحث من مقدمة وستة مباحث وخاتمة. شملت المقدمة بيان أهمية الموضوع وأسباب اختياره وخطة البحث والمنهج المتبع في إنجازه. وعنى المبحث الأول بآيات ورود القلم في القرآن الكريم وبيان المراد بها. وأما المبحث الثاني فعرف القلم وبيان تفاوت الأقلام في الرتب. وأما المبحث الثالث فشمل ذكر القلم في القرآن الكريم حين اقترعوا في شأن مريم وكفالتها. وأما الرابع فجاء في ذكر القلم في القرآن الكريم للدلالة على وحدانية الله وعظمته وكلماته التامة. وتناول المبحث الخامس ذكر القلم في القرآن الكريم في معرض القسم به. وضم السادس ذكر القلم في القرآن الكريم من باب الامتنان على الخلق. وانتهى البحث بعرض الخاتمة وفيها أهم نتائج البحث والفهارس العامة. وتوصل البحث لعدة نتائج منها ورود مفردة القلم في القرآن الكريم أربع مرات على اختلاف في ألفاظها. وأن القلم في القرآن الكريم ورد على معنيين الأول يراد به القلم الذي يكُتب به والثاني يراد به القدح وهو السهم الذي يُرمى به. وأن أصل القلم القص من الشيء الصلب والقاف واللام والميم أصل صحيح يدل على تسوي شيء عند بريه وإصلاحه ومن هذا الباب سُمي القلم قلما لأنه يقلم منه ثم شبه القدح به فقيل قلم.

The goal of the research is an objective study to address "Al-Qalam" (the pen) in the light of the Holy Quran. It relied on the survey methodology in the collection of Quranic verses, the documentation of hadiths, the definition of the mentioned great figures, and the statement the sayings of scholars. The research consists of an introduction, six questions and a conclusion. The introduction included clarifying the importance of the subject, the reasons for its selection, the research plan and the approach used for its achievement. The first topic means the verses that contain the pen in the Holy Quran and clarifies the meaning of each of them. As for the second section, it identified the pen and clarified the different ranks of the pen. The third topic included the mention of the pen in the Holy Quran when they voted on the matter of Mary and her sponsorship. The fourth came in mentioning the pen in the Holy Quran to indicate the oneness of Allah, his greatness, his holy words. The fifth topic mentioned the pen in the Holy Quran in swearing by it. The sixth mentioned the pen in the Holy Quran as a gift for people. The research ended with the conclusion of the most important results of the search and general indexes. The research reached several results, including the word of the pen in the Holy Quran four times in different terms. Besides, they included that the pen came in the Holy Quran with two meanings; the first intended by the pen, which writes and the second intended by the cup, which is the arrow that is thrown by. In addition, they concluded that the origin of "al-Qalam" the pen is shearing off the solid thing and the letters of "qaf, lam and mim" are the true origin that indicates the settlement of something when sharpening and repairing.
