المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى دراسة العلاقة بين قلق المستقبل ومعنى الحياة لدى طالبات جامعة أم القرى، والتعرف على الفروق بين الطالبات في قلق المستقبل ومعنى الحياة والتي تعزى إلى اختلاف التخصص (أدبي وعلمي) واختلاف المستوى الاجتماعي الاقتصادي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (264) طالبة من طالبات جامعة أم القرى، واعتمدت الباحثة على المنهج الوصفي (الارتباطي-المقارن)، واستخدمت الباحثة مقياس قلق المستقبل إعداد المشيخي (2009)، ومقياس معنى الحياة إعداد عبد المنعم (2008)، وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن وجود علاقة ارتباطية سالبة ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.01) بين قلق المستقبل بجميع أبعاده ومعنى الحياة بجميع أبعاده لدى طالبات جامعة أم القرى، وأنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين طالبات التخصصات الأدبية وطالبات التخصصات العلمية في قلق المستقبل سواء الدرجة الكلية أو أبعاده المختلفة عدا بعد التفكير السلبي تجاه المستقبل والفروق في صالح طالبات التخصصات الأدبية، بينما توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في معنى الحياة تعزى إلى اختلاف التخصصات (أدبية – علمية)، والفروق في صالح طالبات التخصصات العلمية، وأنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في قلق المستقبل ومعنى الحياة تعزى إلى المستوى الاجتماعي الاقتصادي لدى طالبات جامعة أم القرى.

The current study aimed to study the relationship between the future concern and the meaning of life among the students of Umm Al-Qura University, and to identify the differences between female students in the concern of the future and the meaning of life due to the different specialization (literary and scientific) and the different socio-economic level. The researcher relied on the descriptive method (associative - comparative), and she used the Future Concern Measure for Presbyterian preparation (2009), and the Meaning of Life Measure prepared by Abdul Moneim (2008). The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant negative correlation at the level of (0.01) between the concern of the future in all its dimensions and the meaning of life in all its dimensions among the students of Umm Al-Qura University, and that there are no statistically significant differences between female students of literary specializations and female students of scientific disciplines in the concern of the future, whether the college degree or its different dimensions, except after negative thinking towards the future and the differences are in favor of female students with literary specializations. While there are statistically significant differences in the meaning of life due to different specializations (literary and scientific), the differences are in favor of female students of scientific specializations. There were no statistically significant differences in future anxiety and the meaning of life due to the socio-economic level of female students at Umm Al-Qura University.
