|a تحمل الأزياء الشعبية لأي مجتمع دلالات فنية واجتماعية حيث تعد عنصرا مهما من عناصر الحضارة ووسيلة للوقوف على هوية المجتمع وتطوره المادي والحضاري، وتختلف من مجتمع إلى آخر باختلاف العادات و التقاليد ،وللبيئة الكويتية سواء البحرية أو البدوية أثرا هاما في تشكيل ملامح المجتمع الكويتي لكونها دوله صحراوية أدت التغيرات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية السريعة بعد اكتشاف النقط إلى تغيرات جذريه ومع تعاقب الأجيال والتحديات التي يشهدها المجتمع الآن من خلال انفتاح العالم وتداخل الثقافات من الضروري تسجيل ملامح ومقومات موروث الأزياء التقليدية قديما التي مع بساطتها إلا إنها تعكس مقدره ومهارة فينه عالية وتنم عن ذكاء فطري أصيل وتظهر جمالا وخصوصية لا يسعنا تجاهلها فالأشكال والزخارف التي تزين الأزياء الشعبية الكويتية تأتي وتتوافق مع الدين الإسلامي من خلال تصميمها و تكوينها الفني بو اقع البيئة الكويتية العربية الإسلامية كما إن وحدات ونقوش الأزياء الشعبية الكويتية لم تعبر فقط عن فترة زمنية بل هي كتاب مفتوح يحكى لناظره عن حياة الشعب الكويتي القديمة بمختلف بيئاتها وجوانبها الاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي لا نراها في وقتنا الحاضر مع غياب الكثير من الحرف والمنسوجات التقليدية ومعاصره الشباب لخطوط دور الأزياء العالمية وعزوفهم عن ارتداء الملابس التقليدية مما يحتم على الجيل الجديد البحث والدراسة بطريقه محكمه دقيقه للموروث الكويتي حتى يتعرفوا منها على جانب مهم من التراث القومي الذي يظل حيا ومؤثرا في حياتهم وقيمهم رغم كل ما يطرأ عليه من تغيرات للحفاظ على هويتنا وتقاليدنا وموروثاتنا والحفاظ على الترابط الاجتماعي لبناء سد منيع قادر على مواجهه مختلف التغيرات.
