مجال الحلي أحد المجالات الفنية التي سايرت مفاهيم الفن المعاصر الذي يعتبر انعكاساً لمعطيات العصر الفكرية والعلمية والتكنولوجية والأحداث المتلاحقة للثورات والحروب ومردودها على الحياة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية، والرؤي الفلسفية التي ترتبط بثقافة المجتمع وتسعى للتجارب مع احتياجات ومتغيرات العصر. فتخطت المفاهيم الجمالية للصياغات الحلي المعاصرة حدود المعايير الجمالية المتعارف عليها في تصميم الحلي سابقاً، واكتسبت قيم جمالية جعلتها بمثابة أعمال فنية ذات مستوى على يمكن تميزها وأدراكها ليست كمجرد مشغولات للزينة، بل أصبحت رؤية وإحساس وتعبير صادق عن واقع معاش. فسعى مصممي الحلي المعاصرة إلى أبداع أشكال فنية تحمل خبرة الفنان ورؤيته والوصول للتعبير من الجانب العاطفي مستلهمة من الطبيعة برؤي مستحدثة منبثقة عن الفكر الفلسفي القائم على تطوير دوافع الشكل المستمد من الطبيعة ولكن بدون تمثيلها، ومن التراث برؤى معاصرة محملة بالعديد من المفاهيم الفكرية والدلالات الرمزية والتعبيرية. وظهرت العديد من صياغات الحلي المعاصرة تعكس رؤى ترتبط بالبحث في جماليات الأشكال المجردة والعلاقات المتولدة من التفاعلات التشكيلية للخامات كطاقات تعبيرية في ذاتها تتيح فرصة تبني موضوعات غير تقليدية عبر من خلالها الفنان عن الذات الإنسانية وتأملاتها وعن العديد من القضايا الاجتماعية والمعاني الحياتية بما يتناسب وروح العصر وفقاً لمنظومة جمالية وتشكيلية تسعى إلى تحقيق مضمون تعبيري يخاطب وجدان المشاهد.
The field of jewelry is one of the artistic fields which keep up with the concepts of the contemporary art that is considered a reflection of the intellectual, scientific and technological data, and the consequent events of revolutions and wars with its effects on the economic and social life, this is besides the philosophical visions that are related with the cultural society and seeks to respond with the needs and variables of the era. The aesthetic concepts of the contemporary jewelry formulations exceeded the aesthetic standards limits known in jewelry design previously. And they gained the aesthetic values that made of them high quality artworks which can be characterized and realized not just as decorative handicrafts but also as a vision, sense and honest expression of the reality of life. The designers of the contemporary jewelry seek to create artistic forms bearing the artist’s experience, vision and the reach to the expression from the emotional side. These forms are inspired from nature with innovative visions that are emanated from the philosophical thought based on the development of the shape motives that are derived from nature –but without representation – and from the heritage with contemporary visions loaded with many intellectual concepts and symbolic and expressive significances.
