برزت تأثيرات العولمة بالعالم في العقدين الأخيرين من القرن العشرين، وأصبحت ظاهرة متعددة الأوجه ومعقدة للغاية، شملت جميع مجالات الحياة، فعلى المستوى الثقافي هي تعني بتعميم أنماط الثقافة الغربية من خلال توسيع نطاق انتشارها بطرق حضارية خاضعة لمعطيات تكنولوجية ووسائل اتصال حديثة ومتطورة، تهدف في المقام الأول إلى صياغة ثقافة عولمية وفق معايير عالمية تربط أطراف العالم بالثقافة المهيمنة على العالم وتقوم على أساس نسق عالمي من القيم المؤثرة في سلوك البشر على نحو متشابه في كل مكان، وبالتالي إعادة تشكيل الشخصية الإنسانية على نحو مغاير لما نشأت عليه وتوارثته الأجيال. وبالطبع تأتي هنا أهمية هذا البحث حيث يعد ذلك تعدياً واضحا وجليا على الخصوصية الثقافية والموروثات الشعبية للمجتمعات المختلفة، فتتشكل انطلاقة جديدة للقيم من خلال نشر ثقافة عالمية واحدة تخترق الثقافات المختلفة وتحولها إلى توابع تسبح في مدار هذه الثقافة العالمية الجديدة. إلا أن ذلك قد شكل تحدياً حقيقياً لجميع الثقافات الوطنية المنتشرة في العالم وبالذات العمانية وذلك لما تحمله هذه الثقافة من موروثات تراثية وحضارية وعقائدية وتاريخية. فبدأت المجتمعات العربية هنا في صراع لإثبات وجودها من خلال هويتها الثقافية ومحاولة التوافق بين الأصالة والمحاصرة لذلك يهدف هذا البحث إلى إيجاد سبل لكيفية التصدي لمواجهة هذه الأنماط الثقافية الغربية على التراث الشعبي، حيث أن كثير من القوى الداعية لتعزيز اختلاف الثقافات والحرص على معتقداتها وأفكارها الدينية استطاعت أن توظف أدوات العولمة نفسها لمواجهتها بأسلوب حضاري تستطيع من خلالها دحر الحجج التي جاءت بها مفاهيم العولمة.
The effects of globalization appeared in the world during the last two decades of the twentieth century and became a multiphase and complex phenomenon that covered all areas of life. At the cultural level, it is concerned with the generalization of western culture patterns through expanding it in a civilized way and subjecting it to technology and newly developed means of communication. The goal of globalization is to formulate a global culture according to international standards, that link the world's parties to the dominant culture of the world, based on a global pattern of values that affect human behavior in a similar manner everywhere. Thus, it reshapes the human personality in a different way to their customs that is inherited by generations and therefore has its impact on the popular heritage of Omani society. The importance of this research comes from the clear violation of the cultural specificity and popular heritage of the different societies. It is a new start for values through dissemination of a single global culture that permeate the different cultures and transform them into accessories, moving them in the orbit of this new global culture. However, this created a real challenge to all national cultures scattered all over the world and specially for Omanis due to their cultural, ideological and historical heritage. The Arab societies struggled to prove their existence through their cultural identity and to reconcile originality with modernity. This research aims to find ways to confront the western cultural patterns on popular heritage, since many of the forces that advocate the promotion of different cultures, the preservations of the religious beliefs and ideas was able to face it by using globalization tools in a civilized way. So that therefore they can defeat arguments brought by concepts of globalization.
