المستخلص: Quels rapports entretiennent l'éducation et la philosophie ? Qu'entendre par sciences de l'éducation et philosophie de l'éducation ? Les sciences de l'éducation sont ces sciences appliquées à l'éducation, ces sciences censées éclairer l'éducation : Psychologie de l'éducation, ethnologie de l'éducation, didactique, docimologie, histoire de l'éducation, éducation comparée, droit de l'éducation, économie de l'éducation. Quant à la philosophie de l'éducation, elle leur sert de fondement, elle répond à la question "Pourquoi". Ces deux disciplines ne s'opposent pas, mais elles sont différentes car ne poursuivant pas les mêmes objectifs. Elles entretiennent des rapports de complémentarité, d'interdépendance, elles se soutiennent mutuellement. C'est ainsi que, par exemple, la psychologie de l'éducation aide le philosophe de l'éducation sur le problème de l'origine des connaissances humaines, que l'histoire de l'éducation enseigne au philosophe de l'éducation que l'éducation est l'apanage de l'être humain, lequel ne peut devenir homme que par l'éducation. Inversement, la philosophie de l'éducation rappelle que le spécialiste, le praticien en sciences de l'éducation en saurait faire fi de la philosophie car Toute pédagogie est l'aboutissement d'une philosophie.

What relationships are there between education and philosophy? What do we mean by science of education and philosophy of education? The sciences of education are those sciences applied to education, these sciences supposed to enlighten education:
Educational psychology, educational ethnology, didactics, docimology, educational history, comparative education, educational law, educational economics. As for the philosophy of education, it serves as their foundation, it answers the question "Why". These two disciplines are not in opposition, but they are different because they do not pursue the same objectives. They maintain relationships of complementarity, interdependence, they support each other. Thus, for example, the psychology of education helps the philosopher of education on the problem of the origin of human knowledge, that the history of education teaches the philosopher of education that education is the prerogative of the human being, which can only become man through education. Conversely, the philosophy of education reminds us that the specialist, the practitioner in the sciences of education could not ignore philosophy because all pedagogy is the outcome of a philosophy.
