المستخلص: When it comes to a thinker classified as the testimony of German Orientalist (Sakhau) with the most significant intellectual history has ever known, there will be no exaggeration to say to him (i.e., al-Biruni) as he founded a new systematic culture in the field of Arab-Islamic historical writing. He not only tried to define his approaches in the preface of his books but also explains what is his uniqueness in relation to the actions of the mind (i.e., the method), in which he appears cautious.
We are sure of its purpose, “It is not right in the way we have taken to add doubt to certainty and the unknown to the known. It says in the introduction to the book “Al-Qanoon Al-Masoudi”: “I did not take the path of those who advanced me from the best of the hardworking people. “I have been given the entrances in it (i.e., what he came up with) with my unique keenness in my days.

Lorsqu’il s’agit d’un penseur classifié, selon un témoignage d’orientaliste allemand, nommé, SACHAU (Karl Eduard) en tant que grand penseur que l’histoire ait connu, on n’exagérait guère si on dira qu’il (Al-Bīrūnī) a bien établi les fondements d’une nouvelle culture méthodologique aux champs de la culture historique arabomusulmane. Al-Bīrūnī n’a pas, seulement, essayé de déterminer ses méthodes à travers les différentes introductions de ses oeuvres mais il explique, aussi, dont il est seul envers les actes de la raison (la méthode), avec toute prudence ainsi qu’une assurance vers ses visées. (Il n’est pas convenable d’ajouter, d’après nôtre méthode suivi, le doute à la conviction ni l’inconnu au connu. (Paru à l’introduction de: Al Qanunu'l-Mas'udi (Canon Masudicus)). Et j’ai pas suivi le parcours de ceux qui m’ont précédé parmi les meilleurs studieux. Les introductions de cette oeuvre m’épuisaient (c'est-à-dire ce que j'ai atteint) surtout avec toutes mes attentions dont je me suis distingué pendant toute ma vie.

حين يتعلق الأمر بمفكر صنف بشهادة المستشرق الألماني (ساخاو) بأعظم عقلية عرفها التاريخ، لن تكون هناك مغالاة إذا قلنا عليه (أي البيروني) بأنه أسس لثقافة منهجية جديدة في حقل الكتابة التاريخية العربية الإسلامية. فهو لم يحاول تحديد مناهجه فقط في مقدمات كتبه ولكنه يوضح أيضا ما تفرد به بصدد أفعال العقل (أي المنهج)، الذي يظهر حذرا فيه.
ومتيقنا من الغرض منه، "لا يليق بطريقتنا التي سلكناها أن نضيف الشك إلى اليقين والمجهول إلى المعلوم. جاء في مقدمة كتاب (القانون المسعودي)"ولم أسلك فيه مسلك من تقدمني من أفاضل المجتهدين. "لقد أعيتني المداخل فيه (أي ما توصل إليه) مع حرصي الذي تفردت به في أيامي.
